This workshop introduces participants to Design Thinking. Design thinking is an iterative, human-centered methodology increasingly used by leading firms around the world for innovating unique solutions to complex and ill-defined challenges, such as those often encountered in business and entrepreneurship. Specifically, participants will experientially learn and apply Intuit’s version of design thinking, named Design for Delight (D4D), by designing a solution for a pre-determined challenge. D4D is grounded in three recursive steps:
Ben Eng is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Marshall University’s Brad D. Smith Schools of Business. He is also the executive director and co-founder of the Innovating for Impact Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation (iCenter) as well as a faculty member of the West Virginia Governor’s School of Entrepreneurship. Through the iCenter, Ben has partnered with Intuit, Inc. to spread design thinking throughout Marshall University’s business schools, its campus, and its community, at large.
