Rhode Island, January 21. – In 2016, Ally Dolan heard about SAM during a routine class discussion. “Our Professor was just talking about this competition when he was an undergraduate”, said Dolan. “The competitive fire started burning and I decided to start a SAM Chapter at NEIT.” Within a few weeks, NEIT had a chapter and Ally was on her way to compete in the case study competition.
That type of competitiveness mixed with the leadership skills she gained as the New England Tech SAM Chapter President helped land her a job at the Hilb Group, one of the top 30 insurance agencies in the United States. Ally works as a large group account manager focusing on new businesses.
Despite being busy with a new career, Ally comes back to New England Tech regularly to talk with students and participate in SAM events. “SAM really helped me figure out the direction I wanted to go in. I have a great job with a great company. You can’t ask for much more than that!”
