Corey Johnson

Board Member

Corey Johnson is a Talent Development Specialist for Pilot Company, more commonly known as Pilot Flying J. As a talent Development Specialist, he facilitates discussions with company leadership and key stakeholders to understand organizational talent development needs and creates development tools, programs, initiatives, and trainings to support the organization. Before moving to talent development, Corey served Pilot Company in such capacities as: Sales Training Specialist, Fuel Sales Account Manager, and Operations General Manager.

Corey holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing and Management and a Master’s of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Texas. Corey currently serves on SFA’s Advisory Council for the Rusche College of Business, since 2018. He learned of SAM as an undergraduate student at SFA and has been a member of the society since 2015.

As a competitor, Corey has won the International Collegiate Business Skills Extemporaneous Speech Competition twice and finished as an overall top three individual competitor multiple times. He has also been a part of multiple top Collegiate Case Study Competition teams and Large Chapter Performance Programs, both in the undergraduate and graduate divisions that earned first place honors.
