Nomination Guidelines

The SAM Outstanding Advisor Award exists to recognize the service and guidance for distinguished chapter leaders who serve in an advisory role.

Eligible chapters must have a minimum of 5 paid members to be eligible to nominate Chapter Advisors for this award. Nominations should be made online and received by SAM National no later than the submission deadline.

To nominate your chapter advisor for this award, please use the online submission form and attach a letter of recommendation from your chapter. In your nomination please include the following:

(1) Describe up to three examples of how the advisor contributed to the development of chapter members.
(2) Describe the advisor’s contributions as an advocate for your college’s chapter in the areas of awareness, funding, and visibility on campus and in the community.

Advisors recognized on the national level will have demonstrated a commitment to management excellence, mentoring, and the development of the chapter members in the discipline of management.

Advisors are not required to be registered for the SAM International Business Conference to receive recognition. Arrangements for a suitable presentation of the award locally may be available upon request.

If you have any questions please e-mail awards@samnational.org for direction and guidance on completing these requirements.
